Pick up at 8:30 a.m. in the hotel or Riad where they are staying in Marrakech, We leave for the High Atlas crossing the port of Tizi N’Tichka with stops of panoramic views. Visit the ARGAN Oil Cooperative, where we discover the process of realization and explain the innumerable benefits it has for the human body. Continuation towards the south, following a 6 km track that will take us to the town of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit its Kasbah (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). In this spectacular setting, films of such renown as Gladiator or Jewel of the Nile have been shot. Lunch in a local restaurant in ait ben haddou village, and then, continue to the city of Ouarzazate so called the Hollywood of Africa. Once in Ouarzazate we will stop to visit the cinema studios where the games of throne were shot, then continue to the hotel where we will spend the night.
After breakfast, we head towards the Draa Valley, where one of the longest rivers in Morocco stands out. Stops to contemplate the charming adobe kasbahs and Berber villages that dot the route and the wonders of the Draa Valley. After lunch in Alnif, we will drive 2 hours more to reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga, where we will welcomed by a mint tea while we rest a little from the trip. We leave the suitcases and things we will not use in the desert and we start another adventure by camels for a ride of an hour and a half to the great dune of Erg Chebbi, surrounded by the beautiful sunset of the desert. Night in a desert camp under a berber tent in the heart of the desert.
We will wake up early to watch the sunrise and changing of dune’s color. Return by camels to the hotel to take shower and breakfast. After breakfast, we will leave the Erg Chebbi, an expanse of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, of more than 250 meters of altitudefrom there we will drive through the old Paris-Dakar track to meet the nomads and know about their life secrets and customs. Later stop at a panoramic point where you can contemplate the Erg Chebbi as a whole. Stop in Khamlia, the village of black people originally from Mali, where you can relax with a tea while enjoying a small gnawa music concert. After that we will continue to the village of Rissani where we will stop to enjoy a traditional berber pizza. Afte lunch we will drive back to Merzouga and you will have free afternoon to climb the dunes and take advantage of a romantic sunset.
We left for Rissani and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble factory before continuing to the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. We will reach one of the strong points of the South: The Todra Gorges. The channel of the Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and of great beauty; it is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. Lunch on the site and a half hour walk to see the Gorges quietly. In the afternoon we continue towards the Dades Valley passing through Boumalne. Arrival at the Gorges of Dades free time to visit the field and meet berber people there.
After breakfast we left on a road dotted with Kasbahs, all different. After several stops we will go towards the route of the Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of Roses, and the great palm grove of Skoura. Arrival in Ouarzazate, visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt that was the residence of the Glaoui or pasha of Marrakech. Lunch on the site, and then continue back to Marrakech by the Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass with stops to enjoy the spectacular views in the high atlas. We will arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon; check in to your hotel and end of the tour.
